The Benefits of HDPE
Over the 30+ year history of A&B, the first 18 centered on utilizing clear redwood as our raw material. As beautiful and durable as this wood is, most consumers prefer low maintenance accessories. After a thorough review of the latest in material technology, we selected HDPE in 2006 as our core material and created the Envirotech/ hybrid line. All our accessories and surrounds are now made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Our furniture-grade HDPE is made from 100% post consumer, recycled plastic. It has a wood grain texture for traction, is solid color throughout (scratches won’t show) and has a LIFE TIME WARRANTY against deterioration and fading for the original purchaser.
